Throughout 2026 (and until February 2027) the Monastery of San Benedetto in Gubbio hosts the exhibition EXTINCTION - Dinosaurs in Flesh and Bone: life-size paleosculptures, fossils from the Gola del Bottaccione, Paco Lanciano’s Quadrisfera, and educational workshops for children, in collaboration with the University of Perugia.

On July 21, 2026 Suoni Controvento stops in Gubbio with Rosa Brunello’s concert at the Palazzo Ducale (9 p.m.). The bassist and composer presents “We Are Surging Waters,” the new album that explores collective movement, rebirth and solidarity through sound. The Gubbian stop is part of the 2026 edition of the festival, scheduled from July 16 to September 13 across Umbria.

In 2026, Carbonesca will host the 51st Sagra della Polenta e Salsicce, scheduled between the last Saturday of July and the first Sunday of August. Around nine days filled with polenta in all its versions, sausages, wine, music, theater, and dancing. The year will also be marked by the 17th Raduno Nazionale dei Polentari d'Italia, hosted in Gubbio on June 20, 2026.

On August 14, 2026, the Torneo dei Quartieri (Quarter Tournament) returns to Piazza Grande in Gubbio: the four historic quarters compete in the traditional Italian crossbow competition to win the Palio. The day begins with a historical parade through the city streets (6:00 PM) and continues with the entrance into Piazza Grande, the Sonata del Campanone (7:30 PM), and the competition, accompanied by the Sbandieratori di Gubbio.
