In 2026, San Polo Matese will renew its Taccozze and Beans Festival on September 29th, coinciding with the feast of San Michele. The iconic dish — taccozze, fresh rhombus-shaped pasta from the Matese area, served with mountain beans — and the accompaniment of folk music remain confirmed. For Christmas 2026, San Polo Matese is renewing its Living Nativity Scene, now in its 44th edition, on December 26th and 27th from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Over 130 performers will bring sacred scenes, ancient crafts, and folk traditions to life along the streets of the historic village, accompanied by the bagpipers of Matese. Detailed program information will be released by the association in the weeks leading up to the event.
