The 35th edition of the Anguilla and River Shrimp Festival of Beroide is expected in the first days of August 2026, according to the usual annual schedule. The Taverna del Castello will return to serve eel and river shrimp for about a week, with music, dancing, and activities for children.

The 80th Experimental Opera Season takes place from August 6 to September 28, 2026, with four new productions and a lieder evening, of which three are world premieres. On the program: 'Dido and Aeneas' by Purcell, 'Una promessa infranta' by Federico Gardella (world premiere), 'La cantatrice calva' by Luciano Chailly, a Liederabend and 'L'elisir d'amore' by Donizetti, staged at the Teatro Caio Melisso, the Sala Pegasus and the Teatro Nuovo di Spoleto.

The Fiera della Madonna di Loreto returns to its traditional dates of September 8 and 9, 2026, along Viale Trento e Trieste in Spoleto. Over 150 stalls offer typical products, clothing, household goods, terracotta, animals, and toys, in a large open-air market open from morning until evening.

In 2026 the Menotti Art Festival Spoleto develops a detailed program that intertwines the Spoleto venue with major international showcases: participation in the Biennale di Venezia 2026 (with exhibitions at Villa Pannonia, on the Lido) and at the Salone del Libro di Torino, as well as the awarding of the Leone d'Oro for Culture and Literature.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 9:00 PM, Francesco Renga will be in concert at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti in Spoleto for the opening date of the 'Live Teatri 2026' tour. A return to Italian theaters to revisit the greatest hits of his discography. The tour, produced by Friends & Partners, will continue between October and November 2026. On Saturday, October 10, 2026, Max Gazzè will be in concert at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti in Spoleto with the opening date of his autumn tour 'a residenza'. In each city, the artist will stay for several consecutive evenings; in Spoleto, he will present his new album 'L'ornamento delle cose secondarie' (released May 15, 2026). The new edition of Spoleto Jazz, presented by Visioninmusica, opens on Friday, October 16, 2026 at the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti with a concert by Judith Hill, soul icon and multi‑instrumentalist. The season will continue with other concerts throughout October and November; the full program is being finalized.

The 2026-2027 edition of *Accade a Natale a Spoleto* will return to enliven the historic centre between December and Epiphany, following the usual Christmas calendar set by the Municipality. Artisan markets, Santa’s Village, the ice-skating rink, nativity scenes, concerts, and shows are expected, culminating in the big New Year’s Eve event in Piazza Duomo. Exact dates and the full programme will be announced by the Municipality in the weeks leading up to the festivities.
