Aug 6 – Sep 28Spoleto (Perugia) The 80th Experimental Opera Season takes place from August 6 to September 28, 2026, with four new productions and a lieder evening, of which three are world premieres. On the program: 'Dido and Aeneas' by Purcell, 'Una promessa infranta' by Federico Gardella (world premiere), 'La cantatrice calva' by Luciano Chailly, a Liederabend and 'L'elisir d'amore' by Donizetti, staged at the Teatro Caio Melisso, the Sala Pegasus and the Teatro Nuovo di Spoleto.
